The national park area includes the villages of Rasen/Antholz, Percha and Ahrntal. With a total surface area of 31,505 hectares, the Rieserferner-Ahrn National Park is the second biggest in South Tyrol. Its geology is varied and it has a rich array of topography, from the valleys to the high mountain peaks, all moulded by water and ice. The myriad habitats are home to an impressive world of flora and fauna in a pristine natural landscape. The beautiful nature in the national park invites visitors to enjoy wonderful hikes and mountain tours. Themed excursions are offered weekly from the middle of May to the middle of October.
